Escape routes
Lit escape routes, tested and evidenced
Exit signage and luminaires are positioned and tested so the way out stays visible when the mains supply fails.
Our process
How we work
Survey
We walk the escape routes, review your fire risk assessment and identify where illumination or signage is missing.
Design
Fittings are positioned and specified to BS 5266 so escape routes, stairs and fire-fighting equipment are properly lit.
Install
Our engineers install and certify the system, with clear labelling and a logbook for ongoing tests.
Test & maintain
We carry out scheduled function and duration tests, replace failing batteries and keep your certification current.
BS 5266 compliance, evidenced properly
Emergency lighting must be tested regularly and the results recorded. We provide the certification, logbooks and test schedules your fire risk assessment and insurers rely on.
- BS 5266 design & testing

FAQs
Common questions
How often does emergency lighting need testing?
BS 5266 calls for a short monthly function test and a full annual duration test. We can manage both and keep the records for you.
Can you upgrade our old fittings to LED?
Yes. We replace failing bulkheads and fluorescent fittings with efficient LED equivalents, reducing maintenance and battery failures.
Do you install in occupied buildings?
Yes, most of our work is in live buildings. We plan around occupants and keep escape routes usable throughout.
